Our Vision
Creating a London network of free clinics
“…man should have just as much right to assistance for his mind as he now has to the lifesaving help offered by surgery”
- Freud, 1918

Supporting communities in need
Our aim has always been to help those in our community, whose social and economic background means they suffer disproportionately with serious mental health issues. And the need for our services across the capital is growing.
Building a network of psychotherapy clinics
We want to open three more Community Psychotherapy Units in London initially. The first will be an additional clinic in Kentish Town.
The aim is to be able to support a further 70 patients a year at this site: 40% from Camden and 60% from the rest of London.
Expanding to west and east London
People currently travel from 21 boroughs across London to our premises in Camden. By opening new clinics in west and east London, we can serve more people in need and make accessing our services less time-consuming for patients. The locations will be chosen based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation, to make sure we are supporting the wards and communities in most need.
Help us make it happen…
Help us build our vision
To set up three new clinics, starting with a new pilot in North London and keep our original home open, we will need to raise £1.5 million over the next three years. It’s a bold vision but one we hope you will help us turn into bricks and mortar.
Funding for the future
With the help of visionary partners, we can transform what CPU is capable of. And through longer term partnerships we can secure the future of the CPU, provide ongoing care for our patients and make our expansion a reality. Please consider supporting us.
Making a major gift
We want our major donors to be at the heart of our ambitious project. We’d be delighted to explore the naming of individual clinics or the new network if this interests you.
Become part of our future
