About the Campaign
We are trying to raise £70,000 or more to help us continue to provide free and low cost psychotherapy in London. We already have donations pledged but we want to raise as much money as possible during this campaign so we would be enormously grateful if you could donate towards our campaign.
To give you an idea of what £70,000 can achieve, it could provide us with enough funding to run our existing clinic for three and a half months. Our clinic is a vital hub of support for many Londoners and we know that it makes a difference: as per our latest ‘CORE’ (Clinical Outcomes Routine Evaluation) results, 83% of CPU patients showed improved overall mental health. Patients also showed a 26% improvement in their sense of wellbeing; a 32% improvement in their ability to function; a 27% reduction in problems affecting their physical health; and an 18% reduction in the risk of harm to themselves and to others (most clients are initially low risk). We aim to maintain this level of impact with our work funded by this campaign.
You can also gift aid your donations to our Christmas Challenge. If you pay Income Tax in the UK, you can increase your donation by 25% (i.e. 25pm for every £1 donated) by adding Gift Aid to your donation. It will not cost you any extra and The Big Give are authorised to collect Gift Aid on our behalf.
We are enormously lucky to have received an offer of match funding from our Champion, The Reed Foundation. The Reed Foundation is the charitable arm of Reed Specialist Recruitment and is chaired by Sir Alec Reed. The Foundation is supporting a wide variety of charities at the moment and this is the first time we have been fortunate enough to receive an offer of funding from them.
About The Big Give
The Big Give runs match funding campaigns for charities and special causes at key moments across the year. By connecting charities to funders (like philanthropists, foundations or corporates) and the public, The Big Give help those charities double their donations. In doing so, they make an extraordinary difference to the world’s biggest challenges.
